Here at Glorious Difference headquarters we love a good swim at the beach, so we’ve put together a list of the best beach pools in Sydney for your aquatic pleasure! So it’s Autumn already, but the water is still a decent 23 degrees. It’s a great time to get out there and enjoy a dip in one of Sydney’s beautiful beach pools before Winter hits. Dose up on the vitamin D and sea minerals, but don’t forget to slip, slop, slap of course. Swimming in the sea is like tonic for the soul – all your worries dissipate into the magic of the ocean. Even a quick dip can do you plenty of good. Reconnect with nature and check out somewhere you haven’t been before.
So here are our top Sydney beach pool picks:
Fairy Bower Pool – Manly
Built by locals in 1929 the Fairy Bower Pool is full of character and natural beauty. Statues grace the edge of the pool adding to the beauty of the space. It’s just a short walk from Manly Beach with a great view along the way. A great spot for a swim and to take it the glorious view of Shelley Beach and back into Manly.
Palm Beach Pool – Palm Beach
Big enough to punch out some laps at the southern end of Palm Beach the pool is based at the southern end of Palm Beach. It gets busy in Summer but much less crowded this time of year and situated next to the generally calm end of the beach called Kiddies Corner by the locals. Definitely worth the drive.
North Curl Curl Pool – Curl Curl
A beautiful pool built in the 1930’s with a natural floor and gorgeous turquoise water. Only accessible via the coastal walkway at high tide, it’s a great place to enjoy a calm swim set amidst the wild surf.
Bondi Icebergs – Bondi
The scene for many an instagram shot the very photogenic Bondi Icebergs is a great place to go for a splash. There’s also a sauna, gym and cafe to keep you occupied.
Giles Baths – Coogee
A natural rock pool exposed to the sea and set away from the craziness of Coogee Beach. Enjoy the freshness of the sea water while swimming away from the rips!
