Sydney’s Hidden Picnic Spots – The Basin

A short ferry ride across pretty Pittwater from Palm beach is The Basin – a picturesque little beach tucked away from it all. Another gem in Kurongah national park that was once inhabited by the Gurungai people. Some of their artwork can be  seen on the rocks a short walk from the beach.
A  great place for an adventurous picnicker to have a prolonged picnic set amidst the eucalypt forest. You can extend your stay a little longer and camp overnight – just look out for the wallabies and possums!

And don’t forget your cosy!
